We are helping developing countries, including those in Eastern Europe, to make the change from hiding their disabled children away to including them with able children wherever possible. For example, we are supporting the Karin Dom Foundation, the first disability centre in Romania to have play equipment for children with special needs, to strengthen their Montessori programmes.
We are receiving more and more enquiries for help from countries where teachers and children have historically been discouraged from thinking creatively; this has hindered the progress of children with learning difficulties, including Autism and other special needs.
